Downloading ACAD2APD Modules
You can download ACAD2APD from this page. There are two distinct modules - Layoutgen (with its companion acslib library) which runs inside of AutoCAD and Layout2APD which runs inside of Cadence's APD. These are not necessarily installed on the same machine. They are licensed independently.
Requesting Password and License Strings
Prior to downloading you should email Artwork and request the following information:
- ftp server login and password
- program installation password
- program license strings
A sample email is shown below. (Please don't cut and paste the sample in its entirety or we will assume you are not smart enough to use the software ...)

Layout2APD
for Cadence APD/SIP 16.2/16.3
Version 1.05 2.2 MB - this is the import module to be installed with APD 16.2 or later. (Requires that you have ISR 57BA or later installed on SIP/APD 16.2) It reads the ULF file produced by LayoutGen and need not be installed with LayoutGen and asclib.
License Utility
789KB. In order for us to generate license strings you need to provide us your machine's ID. This is best done by downloading the lmtools.zip utility and running it on your machine. Use the System Settings tab and copy the Ethernet Address and Disk Volume Serial Number that it displays. See below:
