Check ODB Sample Code

CheckODB is a very simple sample program that checks a ODB++ file (.tgz or .tar) or a directory. It uses the OpenODB call and verifies that the required folders and files exist. These folders and files are copied to the working directory.

The source and MS project files for CheckODB are located in the lib\checkodb directory

CheckODB User Interface

The CheckODB user interface includes a radio button selection and requires the user to specify the file or directory to check, a working directory, and the location of the bin directory containing the odb2gbr.dll and its supporting files.

If everything looks OK, then a window pops open confirming success:

To generate a failure, I went to the matrix folder and deleted the matrix file. Since a matrix file is required, this should produce a failure. The CheckODB results:

While it properly throws an error, the actual error message reported in this window incorrect. However when you click on OK another window pops open that correctly reports the nature of the problem.
