Creating the ASCII File

When using NETEX-G to create an ASCII file please note the following:

  • Select Leonov polygons for the output [preferences]

  • Make sure to set reasonable values for the metal/dielectric thickness

  • Unless the design is very small, use the Extraction module to extract only a few nets and either neighbor nets or the proximity net.

In this example we have created a small ASCII file called bf2.txt. We requested the net defined by the probe point G26 and requested a proximity net.
