Layer window not showing up

In rare cases, Gerber view will not display the Layer menu when the user tries to access it. It is usually as a result of a corrupt entry in the registry or maybe the user pushed the layer menu off the screen last time the viewer was used.

Solution

The easiest solution is to delete the LayerWindowRect item from the GBRVU registry.
To fix the problem, go to the Windows Start menu and run the regedit, registry edit, command.

Solution

Navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then Software, then ArtworkConversionSoftware, then gbrvu.
Find the LayerWindowRect, right click and Delete it.
You can now close the registry editor and start the Gerber Viewer again. The Layer table should be visible again.
