Downloading CIF2DXF for UNIX

This document describes how to download the latest GDS2CIF for UNIX from Artwork Conversion's Internet site. A full featured evaluation can be run by providing us with your machine's hostid.

Unzipping on UNIX
The release is zipped using a version of zip that supports passwords. If your version of unzip does not support passwords (and this is likely) please download the one available below:

zip_sunos.tar
[500 kbytes] zip_hp700.tar
[375 kbytes] zip_solaris.tar
[389 kbytes]

untar it into your /usr/local/bin or in the directory where you want to unzip the file. Use it by typing:

$ unzip filename
Warning: Do not use pkunzip or winzip on a PC even though it does support passwording. On a PC. These programs do not differentiate between upper and lower case filenames; the resulting installation script will fail once transferred to UNIX.
