UNIX Node locked license issues
On Solaris and Linux you may experience the following error when starting up one of our programs in Hostid node locked mode.

$./qckvu

Security Error:

The single user license authorized in keycode file

'/root/IS/From_GDS/GDS/gds_rip.e4_64.linux.v136/examples/../bin/acs.key' is in use.

Try again later or obtain additional concurrent licenses, and make sure that '/tmp/ACS.LOCK' is not leftover from a previous session.

Solution

 There can be two reasons for such an error.
  • You are trying to run 2 instances of the same program but you have codes for one license.
  • A previous instance of the program crashed, and left the file /tmp/ACS.LOCK. Remove the lock file and then try running the program again.
    rm /tmp/ACS.LOCK
