Vendor daemon died with status 0

One of our customers reported the following problem on Linux RedHat E3 when trying to start the lmgrd service.

14:14:47 (lmgrd) FLEXlm (v9.50) started on test-linux (linux) (7/19/2006)
14:14:47 (lmgrd) License file(s): license.dat
14:14:47 (lmgrd) lmgrd tcp-port 27000
14:14:47 (lmgrd) Starting vendor daemons ...
14:14:48 (CMOS_VLD) FLEXlm version 9.50
14:14:48 (lmgrd) Started artwork (internet tcp_port 1069 pid 6342)
14:14:48 (artwork) FLEXlm version 8.1b
14:14:48 (lmgrd) Vendor daemon died with status 0

There can be two reasons for this specific problem.

  1. Wrong hostid was used to generate the floating key codes.
  2. Wrong artwork daemon was used. We have a daemon for Linux 7.2 and a daemon for RHE3. Please make sure to use the proper one.
