A test or assembly engineer may need to change the bin code of one or more devices in an incoming map before converting it and sending it along to the next stage of processing. This can be done using WMapEdit. You can either change to an existing bin code, or you can create a new bin code as needed.
Using the Selection window, click on the Bin Code: drop down and select the desired bin code. Then click Apply.
You can see that the color of the die has changed and that the selection box indicates it now has bind code 01
instead of 0B
If you want to create a new bin code, instead of clicking on the drop down arrow, simply type in the new bincode. (Please note - various formats have rules about acceptable characters/strings for bin codes or what a particular bin code might mean -- please adhere to these rules because if you select an inappropriate bin code your results may vary - and not in a good way.)
When you click apply you will see this message:
Click on Yes and then you can set the color, quality and description in the Bin Codes window.
