Artwork has added Open Access to the collection of chip databases we support. Our initial offerings include a layout viewer and a geometric boolean plug-in.

The layout viewer, based on Qckvu3, enables a user to quickly open and display an OA database. Users have all of the expected features: pan, zoom, layer color and fill assignments, measure critical dimensions.

The viewer is also an excellent vehicle to launch additional plug-ins such as Artwork's boolean.

The OA standard implementation does not include any boolean operations. Artwork's boolean plug-in, acsOaBool, provides all of these: UNION, AND, MINUS, XOR and sizing. The boolean supports all angle data and is very efficient. It is implemented as a subclass of the commonly used rectangular query function.
