Expansion

The expansion section is used to define an expansion distance that NETEX uses to determine which conductors are close enough to grab for purposes of computing fringing capacitance.

example of expansion parameter selecting proximity net

This section is optional. If you don't need a "proximity" net then you don't need to specify an expansion distance. However if you do request a proximity net then you should define a valid expansion distance.

In the NJB file the expansion section looks as follows:

B_EXPANSION
2.5 MIL
E_EXPANSION

Column Definitions

Column 1 - expansion distance. must be a positive number.

Column 2 - units. UM or MICRON, MM or MILLIMETER, INCH or IN, MIL.

The expansion section must begin with b_expansion and end with e_expansion.
