Padstacks

User defined padstacks were created specifically for output to Ansoft's ANF file format. ANF uses padstacks and they are needed for modeling wires and solderballs.

For example, if you wish to attach solderballs to the bottom of a BGA you must have a padstack on the bottom metal layer that can be associated with the solderball. Generally you cannot get such a padstack placed by using only the Gerber input to NETEX. Instead, you must create a list of nodes -- one node where each solder ball must go. You can associate a padstack with a node and NETEX-g will place the padstack at the desired location.

In the NJB file the padstack section looks as follows:

B_PADSTACKS
ballpad CIRCLE 0.032000
E_PADSTACKS

Line 1 - must begin with B_PADSTACKS.

Line 2

The first item is the "name" of the pad stack (string, no spaces)

the second item is the shape: CIRCLE, SQUARE, RECTANGLE

the third item is the size: for circle = diameter, for Square = edge for RECTANGE=x width

the fourth item is the size: for rectangle = y height
