QIS with the -nodisplay option...

When using Artwork's QIS server remotely, one may want to start it without a connection to an X server display. To use all of the QIS features, one must set the DISPLAY variable correctly.
If you wish to use the QIS with no display, then you must start it with the -nodisplay option.
This is only useful if QIS is not used for drawing (which means QIS is only used to get vector data).
All drawing related commands including color and image size commands should not be sent to QIS.

In this mode you can still extract TIFF images of the GDSII/OASIS file.
