GDSPLOT/W fails to send a plot file to a plotter with a long name.

In some cases customers running GDSPLOT/W experienced problems when sending plot files to plotter that have long names with spaces in it. When the RTL file is sent to the plotter an error message appears on the computer screen:

StartDocPrinter --> the printer name is invalid.

We found out that this error happens when the plotter name is long and has spaces in it.
For example : HP DesignJet 5000 600 by HP

Solution:

Rename the plotter name to HP5000 for example, and try plotting again.
