Plotting problem from pgcam
pltcfg was missing from the UNIX distribution package. That prevented plotting from pgcam.

New m36gen - CIF to TAP/TIX format
We had a few requests from potential clients to create UC Berkeley TAP/TIX format.
This is a PG file in EBCDIC format that is loaded to the Mann3600 pattern generator at the university.
We received the source code from UC Berkeley and ported it to Linux, Solaris and Windows.

New Linux version
ASM2600 which includes gds2pg, pgsort, and pgcam is now available on Linux.

Linux version The new version runs on Linux. All modules are available.

Flexlm support The new version supports Flexlm floating license.

Compensation bug fix The compensation value specified in DXF2PG shell's "Configuration" dialog box was previously not handled correctly by the translation engines. The fix is reflected in PG intermediate output. Consequently, Electromask and Mann output come out correct.

Slivers in PG output This problem occurred in a DXF file which contained narrow areas that converged into 10 micron high areas. This has now been fixed.

Update for pgsort and xgdsvu
The new release area of asm2600 includes the latest motif version of our viewer, xgdsvu.
It also includes pgsort - pattern generator sort utility. These two modules are not part of the asm2600 package but can be purchased seperately.

Y2K Complaint
All the modules of asm2600 (gds2pg, mmask, emask, pgcam) are now year 2000 compliant.

Tighten Up TEXT Font
The font file PGFONT.SHX was tightened up slightly so to reduce space between letters. Requested by Larry Albritton of Image Technology.

This version of EMM2GDS is shipped with 6.20 of GDS2PG.

Improve MAN3000 input
Improve thed MAN3000 input routine to minimize mathematical error on non-orthogonal flashes.

Bug Fix in Mann Parser
ASCII comment was supposed with a " (quote) and end with either a " (quote) or a CR (carriage return). Due to a bug, CR was not recognized in previous version. This is now fixed.
