ADS Related Translators/Postprocessors
Introduction

In 1990 Artwork began providing MTOOLS for EEsof's Academy which eventually became Series IV and finally ADS (Advanced Design System). Over 2000 licenses of MTOOLs have been distributed worldwide. Today, Artwork's MTOOLs is distributed directly by Agilent... [MTOOLS Details]

Gerber Import

Many designers have requested the ability to pull in a layout done using PCB design software into ADS for analysis.

Artwork offers GBRUnion -- a program that first cleans up the Gerber data using a powerful boolean algorithm and then converts it into archive format -- a native database for ADS... [Details]

DXF <-> EGS Archive

ASM 800 is a full bidirectional translator between AutoCAD's DXF file format and EGS Archive. ADS can read/write EGS archive directly into the layout module. With this translator you can generate mechanical outlines in AutoCAD or other CAD packages and bring them directly into ADS layout. The ASM 800 translators are now fully integrated into ADS and can be purchased directly from Agilent. More info ...

NETEX-G simplifies Data Import for Momentum

Artwork's NETEX-G program now supports EGS Archive output. NETEX-G is most often used to convert multi-layered PCB and package layouts into Archive so that such designs can be imported and analyzed using Momentum. A detailed application note showing how a high speed IC test board designed in Cadence Allegro is brought into ADS is now available:
