Artwork works closely with both large and small CAE/CAD companies. Because we specialize in translators we can often focus more resources on a specialized translation problem than a larger company is willing to. Some of our OEM relationships include:

Westlake Village, CA / Santa Rosa, CA

Artwork has supplied over 1000 licenses of MTOOLs since 1991 - a suite of translators from EEsof's mask file format to Gerber, IGES, DXF and GDSII. Agilent also OEMs a bidirectional DXF translator to the ADS/Momentum Layout tool.

Pittsburgh, PA

Artwork supplies Ansoft with two programs: GDSVU/X and GBRVU/X which are used to convert GDSII and Gerber respectively into a form of DXF that Ansoft's field analysis tools can import and use to analyze current flow and voltages in three dimensions.

Japan

Dynatron is a leading supplier of Gerber CAM in Japan. Dynatron OEM's artwork's DXF translators for import/export into their CAM station; recently our GBRUnion boolean engine has been added to Dyantron's CAM software.

El Segundo, CA

AWR, a leading supplier of high-frequency electronic design automation, uses Artwork's NETEX-G [Gerber/Drill importer and net extraction] to bring in layout's from PCB designs into their Microwave Office simulator.

San Jose, CA

Artwork OEMs an AIF import/export converter for Cadence's Allegro Package Designer (APD) software. Artwork is currently working on a 3D modeler for stacked die, MCMs and flipchips designed in APD.

Lebanon, NH

Fluent is a leader in heat and flow simulation software and recently expanded into electrical simulation with a new product called IceMax. IceMax integrates Artwork's NETEX-G software in order to extract the physical nets from Gerber data.

San Jose, CA

Credence uses Artwork's QIS as the engine for their new GDSDirect software which drives their new OptiFib, Emiscope II, IREM, EBeam, FIB P2X and FIB P3X equipment.

Darmstadt, Germany

CST develops and markets software tools for the simulation of electromagnetic fields in all frequency bands. CST has integrated Artwork's NETEX-G and GBRUNion into its Microwave Design Studio as an efficient way to import PCB layout data.

Taiwan

Hortek manufactures integrated laser processing machines and uses Artwork's GBRUnion software to prepare PCB data for controlling the cutting of solder paste stencils, and for etching markings into the surface of front panels.

Milpitas, CA /Austin, TX

Artwork has multiple OEM relationships with KLA-Tencor: Qckvu for Prolith is used by the PROLITH division to extract small regions of a mask layer from a large GDSII file: and QIS is used by the metrology division to display wafer defects overlayed with the CAD data.

Wrentham, MA

Midas manufactures machine vision equipment (AOI) for substrates used in hybrid circuits, LTCC and thinfilm. Artwork provides a high resolution rasterizer as well as an adaptive sizing program used to generate the reference templates from the original CAD data.

Taby, Sweden

Micronic offers laser pattern generators for photomask manufacturing for semiconductors, displays, and a wide range of packaging and other high-end lithographic needs. Artwork has developed two translators, GBR2MIC and DXF2MIC that convert CAD data into Micronic's pattern format ...

Sigrity offers an advanced BGA/MCM design package, Unified Package Designer, (previously Encore) that includes our conversion engines to and from Gerber, DXF and Excellon Drill.

Rehovot, Israel

Printar Ltd. is a leading developer and manufacturer of digital printing equipment and consumables for the PCB industry. Printar uses Artwork's GBR_RIP (a Gerber rasterizer) to convert PCB data into the bitmap used by its industrial inkjet equipment.

San Jose, CA

Synopsys is a leader in software tools for creation of sub micron masks. The next generation of Proteus, their OPC mask correction tool, incorporates incorporates Artwork's QIS viewing engine into IC Workbench, enabling it to open and display extremely large GDSII and OASIS files.
